REFERRALS,
FEES &
REBATES

You do not need a referral to make an appointment. However, a Mental Health Care Plan or a Primary Enhanced Care Plan, for your child, from your GP or Paediatrician will allow you to claim a rebate. Please check the Medicare website for up-to-date information.

Under Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Better Access to Diagnosis & Treatment –
• Medicare rebates for up to four sessions with a psychologist for assessment of a possible Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Your child's Paediatrician must provide the appropriate referral to activate access to these rebates.
• Rebates for 20 sessions of treatment are also available. (These are lifetime sessions i.e. they are not reinstated each year).

The standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length. The session fees for weekday appointments are well below than the recommended rate by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi). Please contact Reception for fee schedule, as assessment/consultation fees depend on the length and type of the session.

The full fee is payable at the end of each session.

Check with your health insurance provider regarding the rebate that you are eligible. Note that private health insurance rebates can only be claimed where Medicare rebates are not claimed.

Eliza is able to support NDIS participants who are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.

Requests for additional reports, letters to funding agencies, non-standard letters to medical practitioners will incur a fee (hourly rate applies).
